Hi! My name is Deepak Ravichandran, and I’m a venture investor at Battery Ventures in Menlo Park (I’m doing a slight detour at one of our portfolio companies Glassdoor right now). I previously helped large tech companies on M&A and strategy at Lazard, and I graduated from Cal (Go Bears!). I’m pretty excited about the future of technology and it’s ability to change people’s lives for the better, but am also pretty cynical about a lot of the “irrational exuberance” occurring in the valley today.

My major technology interests include: Internet first consumer brands, healthcare analytics, vertical SaaS companies with machine learning backends, and startups using software to redefine “luddite” industries.

Outside of technology, I am strong believer in value investing, and think we all have something to learn from Warren Buffet. I love travelling, and jump at every chance I get to explore a new place (especially if it has spicy food).
